Aims
Main Aims
To establish a dialogue in the different realms of knowledge – exact sciences, human sciences and social sciences – and the philosophical knowledge; to claim the human knowledge unity, in view of its human and social purposes; to hold a discussion on the mediation of this knowledge viewing education for citizenship, social inclusion and intercultural dialogue.
Specific Aims
- to explain, from the methodological and epistemological point of view, the differences and similarities between the several realms of knowledge;
- to particularize the study of the theory of knowledge related to philosophy and other sciences, mainly psychology and logic;
- to propose a philosophical, historical and epistemological approach to the teaching and learning process of specific areas, such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history, and literature;
- to emphasize the philosophical, cultural and historical connections between the masculine and feminine gender notions in the social, political and scientific world as well as their importance in education for citizenship.
- to promote an exchange of experiences between Brazilian and international researchers concerning social inclusion and integration through scientific and philosophical education, aiming at education for citizenship.
- to propose a philosophical, historical and epistemological approach as a theoretical, conceptual and methodological basis to the graduation courses and researches aiming at teacher´s qualifications.
